Are you Licensed?

We are licensed by the OCFS and follow all NY State rules and regulations.

Are your teachers certified?

We only hire qualified teachers according to the stipulations of the OCFS. All staff members have been fingerprinted and background checked. Each Teacher is CPR and First Aid certified. In addition, teachers are required to participate in 15 hours worth of professional training every year.

Can you administer medication?

Yes, we are a MAT certified center which enables us to administer medication to children including prescription, over-the-counter, nebulizer and e.p.i. pen.

Do you serve meals?

Each day we serve breakfast, lunch and two snacks. Our menu consists of healthy versions of food we know kids will eat! We serve mainly organic, whole grain and fresh products according the NY State dietary standards for children.

Are there late fees after a certain hour?

7am to 7pm are our hours of operation, and we do not charge any early drop-off or late fees within these hours.

What about school vacations and summer?

First Stop Kids is open year round and only closes on major holidays. In the summer we shift to a "camp" curriculum with many special activities.
